Important Learner Information
RHeart at Virginia Tech, in partnership with Compress & Shock and LewisGale, is hosting a free community heart screening and CPR/AED training event for individuals ages 13-30 at Pilgrim Baptist Church. Participation in a Compress & Shock CPR/AED training session is required in order to receive a heart screening. Learn more and sign up here!
Heart screenings are being provided by RHeart in conjunction with LewisGale. Here is what to expect during the screening:
✔️ Complete a brief heart health history
✔️ Have your vital signs checked (heart rate, blood pressure, etc.)
✔️ A non-invasive EKG screening
✔️ Speak 1-on-1 with a volunteer cardiologist who will review your EKG
